Today, the King family donated a "Buddy Bench" to Blythe-Bower Playground in memory of Peyton King, a Cleveland High School Class of 2025 student and former Blythe-Bower attendee. Peyton, who passed away in 2019, was known for his kindness. The Buddy Bench will be the area's first, providing a safe space for students without playmates.
Blythe-Bower principal, Dr. Joel Barnes, stated, โWe are appreciative of this generous gift from Peytonโs family. Not only will students for years to come hear about Peyton and the type of kid he was, but hundreds of students will find a buddy right here.โ
